He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Godsey and Goldie Taylor Godsey; his grandparents, Edison Taylor and Nona Taylor; and his siblings, Debbie Valentine and Daryl Godsey.

He is survived by : his wife Edna Joyce Godsey; his children, Marty Godsey (Karen), Gary Godsey (Olivia) and Christy Little; his grandchildren, Samantha, Allison, Noah, Micah, Mariah, Ethan Godsey, Jazmin, Jayden (Saige) and Kimora Pompey; and his siblings, Ricky Godsey (June), Michael Taylor (Lynn), Lisa Sheridan and Sue Hoskins (Donald). He is also survived by great grandchildren, great grand dogs, great grand kitties, nephews and nieces, and cousins.
