He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherrill "Shirl" Hampton and Blanche Caudle Adams; and his siblings, Goldie Hamby, Pernell Hobson, Helen Foster, Harold Adams, Howard "Sam" Adams, Bobby "Mutt" Adams, David "Dave" Adams and Troy Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Hupp Adams; his daughters, Amanda Ratledge (Brad) and Susanne Grady (Scott); his grandson James "Tyler" Ratledge (Kim); his great grandchildren, Annabell, Harper and James "Reece" Ratledge; and his siblings, Peggy Lambert (Ray), Sherrill "Ross" Adams (Jean) and Michael "Mike" Adams.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Service of East Bend (428 E Main St, East Bend, NC 27018). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Service (428 E Main St, East Bend, NC 27018).
