With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Smoot Cranfill of East Bend, North Carolina, born in Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rebecca Cranfill (Becky) of Lumberton, NC and Smoot Cranfill of Lumberton, NC; and his wife Deborah Cranfill. He is survived by: his daughter Catherine Cranfill; and his cousin Susan Phillips Moss of Lumberton.
