He was predeceased by: his mother Lola Wooten; and his sisters, Trasker Wooten (Glendon Wooten), Gaynell Doub, Virgie Mathis (Thomas Wooten) and Shelby Vestal.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Wooten; his daughters, Robin Wooten, Sherry Wooten and Alison Shore; his grandchildren, Lindsay Fitzgerald (Tyler), Travis Shore (Elise) and Nicholas Wooten; his great grandchild Kent Fitzgerald; and his brother Samuel Wooten (Patricia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
