He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Pinkley Hutchens and Jesse Pearl Sneed Hutchens; and his sisters, Ann Draughn (Ralph) and Frances Collins (Carl). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Penley Hutchens; his son Todd Hutchens (Vicky); his grandchildren, Tyler Hutchens and Brooke Ireland; and his sisters, Gladys Riddle (Gray) and Clara Lee "Cricket" Collins (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
