With sadness, we share the passing of Valonta Speer Wall (East Bend, North Carolina). Valonta, born on September 22, 1949, passed away on September 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Loville Martin Speer and Walter Henry Speer. She is survived by: her husband Michael Arvin Wall; her sister Cynthia Dianne Steelman; her children, Candice Denae Wall (Shane Mason) of East Bend and Michael Bradley Wall (Jennifer) of Yadkinville; her grandchildren, Hannah Dinkins, Callie Dinkins, Kaitlyn Sparks (Brock), Meredith Strickland (Hunter), Cameron Wall (Caroline) and Mallory Wall; and her great grandchildren, Raelynn Strickland, Berkleigh Strickland and Colsen Sparks.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the New Home United Methodist Church (3340 Smithtown Rd, East Bend, NC 27018).
While Valonta loved flowers, she would rather have them living and growing, so memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, St. Jude's Hospital, or the Shriner's Hospital. Valonta often gave to various charities and would be honored to have a memorial given to any charity you may choose.
