She was predeceased by : her parent Burley Goad; her husband Norman Dotson; and her sons, Craig Dotson, Jonathan Dotson and James Dotson.

She is survived by : her daughters, Vickie Hutchens (Ronnie) of Pinnacle and Tammy Plowman of Yadkinville; her grandchildren, Kimberly Plowman, Jessica Birdsong, Christopher Caudle and James Caudle; and her great grandchildren, Braxton Birdsong and Jacob Caudle.
