It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Phillips of East Bend, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nat Phillips and Millie Speer Phillips; his wife Rita R. Phillips; his son Chris E. Phillips; and his siblings, Kay Wooten (Chester) and Junior Phillips (Patsy).
He is survived by: his daughter Ginger Tranter (Danny); his brother Clarence Phillips; his grandsons, Cody Tranter (Leah), Dylan Tranter (Megan), David Phillips (Lacey), Ryan Phillips (Allie) and Tyler Phillips (Lawsyn); and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Tranter, Emmett Tranter, Kinsley Phillips, Oaklyn Phillips, Miles Phillips, Cali Phillips and Noah Phillips. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Macedonia Church Cemetery.
