He was predeceased by: his parents, Numa David Redmon, Sr. and Bertha Withers Redmon of Leaksville, NC; and his siblings, Velma Newnam (Garland), Ethel Ray (Rufus), Numa David Redmon, Jr. (Jeanette), Helen Parker (George), Frances Robertson (Ophus) and Harold Redmon (Faye).
He is survived by: his children, Wynn Redmon of Jacksonville and Randy Redmon (Aileen) of Atlanta; his grandsons, Dean Nordhielm (Jessie), Robert Redmon (Felicity) and Aaron Redmon (Riley); and his great grandchildren, Erin, Emma and Ellie Nordhielm. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Charitable donations in his memory may be made to the Carolina Fund at UNC Chapel Hill or a charity of the giver's choice.
