He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy J. Kasten, Sr. and Iola Kallam Kasten; his wife Gracie Mae Freeman Kasten; his son Roy Joseph Kasten; his grandsons, Kameron Scott Kasten and Robert "Robby" Edward Kasten; his siblings, Janine Kasten Wright, Ann Kasten Etheridge, John Michael Kasten and Jerry Lee Kasten; and his cousin Steve Turman.
He is survived by: his grandson Joshua Taylor Kasten; his great grandchildren, Robert Thomas and Lucy Taylor; his siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Evans and Paul Larry Kasten; his daughter-in-law Susan Turner Kasten; and his close friends, Wayne Boyette, Robert Rorrer, Jerry Grogan and Toby Holley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
