She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dillard Underwood, Sr. and Eva Coleman Underwood; her husband Merchant Leroy "Smokey" Hyler; and her brother George Dillard Underwood, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Hyler Shelton (Neil); her grandsons, Tyler Shelton and Taylor Shelton (Katie); her great grandchild Clay Daniel Shelton; her brother Tommy Underwood (Vicki); and her sibling's children, Brooke Willis and Tommy Underwood, II. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
