He is survived by: his children, James Godfrey McBride, Jr. (Sheila) of Albany, Georgia and Renee McBride Warren (Matt) of Eden; the mother of his children Norma Jean Corum of Eden; his grandchildren, Adam Warren (Amanda) of Orange Park, Victoria Lane (Mark) of Albany, James Godfrey McBride, III (Mallory) of Albany Georgia, Brittany Pratt (Jonathan) of Eden, Thomas McBride (Kelly) of Hendersonville and Sarah Hatcher (Reid) of Albany, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Asher, Alexa, Averett, Sawyer, Penelope, Lovell, Beau, Hays, James Godfrey IV, Jackson, Halle, Londyn, Eli, Sam, Lola, Archie and Ember; and his sister Harriet McBride Golden of Cherryville.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fair Funeral Home (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fair Funeral Home Chapel (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288).
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Charity Baptist Church, 642 Lee Street, Eden, NC 27288.
