She is survived by: her husband James Sledge; her children, Tammi Sledge and James Sledge; her grandchildren, Monty Donawa and Victoria Broadnax; her great grandchildren, Miya Donawa, Destynee Broadnax and Da'Khayla Donawa; her siblings, Willie McCurdy (Nellie) of Newman Georgia, Johnny McCurdy (Sam) of Richmond, Betty Torbert of Opelika and Janice Fowlkes of Richmond, Virginia; and her close friend Minister Beverly "Teresa" Terry. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, her adopted sister.
