She was predeceased by : her parents, John Anderson Dillard and Mary Evelyn Scales Dillard; and her siblings, John Dewood Dillard, Buddy Thomas Dillard and Jeanette Dillard.

She is survived by : her husband Curtis Artis, Sr.; her children, Curtis Artis, Jr. (Letrice) of Charlotte, NC, Korbin Artis Diggs (Reno) of Pittsburgh, PA and Penny Dillard Simmons (Zallo) of High Point, NC; her grandchildren, Ross, Gillian, Alexis, Paisley and Peighton; and her siblings, Freddie Allen Dillard (Rosabelle) of Axton, Virginia, Lucy Lane Blackwell of Eden, NC and Judy Faye Morehead (Curtis) of Eden, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
