She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobart Nicholson and Mae Middleton Nicholson; her sons, Edward Lee Smith and Stevon Sanders Smith; her close friend Johhny Freeman; and her pets, Nichols and Coda.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Smith of Lexington, Lisa Holcomb (Jeff) of Eden and Sherry Fannin (Jimmy) of Lexington; and her sister Hobanette Maynor of Cullowhee.
