We announce the death of Richard Minter of Eden, North Carolina, who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 74. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willaim Bo Minter and Lucille Jones Minter; his daughter Samantha Layne Minter; and his brother Randy Minter. He is survived by: his wife Avis Hazelwood Minter; his children, Courtney Minter Stowe (William) and Adam Minter (Rachel); his grandchildren, Evelynne Stowe and Asher Minter; his sister Vickie Minter-Corum; his aunt Marie Cassell; his nieces and nephews, Brooke Corum, Brie Beacham, Randy Smith and Lee Hazelwood; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Hazelwood.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fair Funeral Home Chapel (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
