He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde McDaniel and Estelle McDaniel; his wife Daisy Holt McDaniel; his siblings, Judy Smith and Frank McDaniel; and his children, David "Rusty" Woods, Robert Wayne McDaniel, Jr. and Yalonda McDaniel Boyte.
He is survived by: his daughter Amy McDaniel Weber (Richard); his close friend Carol Dyson; his grandchildren, Jennifer Woods, David Woods (Lindy), Lisa McDaniel Sellers, Bryon McDaniel, Richard Boyte (Jackie), Ryan Boyte and Bentley Willey; and his great grandchildren, Cody Woods, Tyler, Chase Woods, Cody Albertson, Keyleigh Talbot and Madison Wheatley.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fair Funeral Home Chapel (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at the Ridgeview Memorial Gardens (1658 NC-135, Eden, NC 27288).
