He is survived by: his daughter Kristi Chilton-Paige (Erskine) of High Point; his stepchildren, Rodney Axsom (Charley) of Southport and Missy Simon (John) of Lexington; his siblings, Gayle Hand, Paul Chilton (Audrey) of Eden, Dale Chilton (Pam) of Eden and Gary Chilton of Eden; and his friends, Herman Grogan and Kitten Grogan. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
