He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pinnix and Nettie Bell Neal Pinnix; his wife Daphney H Pinnix; his siblings, Margaret Cotton, Virtine Johnson, Charlotte Harrison, Lillie Pinnix, Connie Blackwell and Sylvester Pinnix; and his siblings-in-law, Bertha Graves Pinnix, Rosa Neal, Sadie Kollore, Faye McCollum, Shirley Miller, Elmo Johnson, Benny Harrison, Willie Blackwell, Dr. Floyd Cotton, Peter Herbin, Johnny Wilson and RJ Neal.
He is survived by: his son Elmer Lamonte Pinnix (Barbara) of Elon, NC.; his grandchildren, Antonio "Tony" Pinnix of Greensboro, NC., Leshon "LJ" Pinnix (Taylor) of Charlotte, NC. and Denard "Bud" Stacey of Elon, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Tahj Pinnix of Greensboro, NC., Malaya Pinnix of Greensboro, NC., Laylon Stacey of Greensboro, NC. and Noah Pinnix of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
