He is survived by: his children, Renee, Jeffery Scales and Rodney Scales; his grandchildren, Ashley King, Jaylin Scales and Austin King; and his sisters, Joan S. Moton, Mary E. Millner, Yvonne Wilson and Gwenevere L. Lanza. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
