He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence B. Cockman and Ruby C. Cockman; and his brother Lawrence "Keith" Cockman. He is survived by: his wife Jo Anne Cockman; his daughter Jada Cockman (Ulises); his granddaughter Ella Sandoval; his sister Sharon Clifton (Jack); and his brother-in-law Eugene "Blue" Corum. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Fair Funeral Home (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Overlook Cemetery (700 Bryant St, Eden, NC 27288).
