He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren H. Carter, Sr. and Nellie Thompson Carter Purdy; his wife Sarah Craven Carter; and his siblings, Elizabeth Dolly Dodson, Carnell Baliles, Willie Purdy and Timmy Purdy.
He is survived by: his children, Warren H. Carter, III (Lynn), Michael Carter (Wendy) and Cheryl Purdy (Randy); his siblings, Sue Robertson and Tom Purdy; and his pet Bo. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
