It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ben Rinehart Sr. of Edenton, North Carolina, born in Louisville, Illinois, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Delbert Lowell and Charlene Luceal Atchison Rinehart; his wife Barbara Jean Spencer Rinehart; his daughter Linda Dale Rinehart Green; and his siblings, Albert Lowell Rinehart and Jacquelea Rinehart.

He is survived by : his children, Beth Rinehart Evans (Jasper) of Edenton, Delbert Worth Rinehart (Paula) of Edenton, Benny Dale Rinehart, Jr. (Sonya) of Edenton and Glenda Kaminski (Steve) of Lakeland, FL; his grandchildren, Naythen, Sarah, Erin, Ellie, Bailey, Spencer, Anna, Katie, Holli and Kimmi; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Maci Kate, Parker, Blake of Shelby, T. W., Sylvia, Bennett and Sloane; and his great great grandchild River.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Edenton Baptist Church (200 S Granville St, Edenton, NC 27932).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Edenton Baptist Church, 200 South Granville Street, (and be designated for the Parking Lot Fund or the Choir Fund), or the Edenton-Chowan Food Pantry, P.O. Box 643, both in Edenton, NC 27932.
