He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Everett Ashley and Louise Clark Ashley; his wife Patricia Ann Moorehead Ashley; his sons, Danny Ray Ashley II (Jackie) of Edenton and Kevin Anthony Ashley of Edenton; his sisters, Brenda Ashley Bond of Washington, NC and Jeanette Ashley Pippin of Amelia Island, FL; his grandchildren, Samantha, Logan, Nathan Ashley and Michael Martin (Willow); and his great grandchildren, Maverick and Marianna Martin.
