She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Bailey Davis and Audrey Pearl Thomas Davis; her husbands, Evan D. Spruill and John M. Rice; her son Danny Lee Spruill; and her brothers, Jack, Edward, Clyde and Billy Carroll Davis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Doris Spruill Berryman (Greg) of Hobbsville and Lawonda Spruill Jennings (Merrill) of Hobbsville; her siblings, Jean Caudle of Norfolk, VA and Ernie Davis of Tyler, TX; her grandsons, Nathan G. Berryman (Karen) and Matthew B. Berryman (Patrice); and her great grandchildren, Brent, Gage and Lacey Berryman.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beaver Hill Cemetery (420 Doctor M. L. K. Jr Ave, Edenton, NC 27932). A reception will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home & Crematory (735 Virginia Rd, Edenton, NC 27932).
