It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie Parker of Edenton, North Carolina, born in Gates, North Carolina, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Cleveland Blanchard and Eva Eure-Blanchard; her husband Deacon James William Parker; her son James Alvin Parker; and her siblings, William Henry Blanchard, Daniel Blanchard, Whayelon Blanchard, James "Jim Eure", Thomas Eure, Emmett Eure, Ella Mae Blanchard-Peterson, Lillie Dale Blanchard-Ralph, Edna Blanchard and Willie Frances Eure-Dildy.

She is survived by : her daughter Antoinette Holley (William) of Tyner, NC; her grandchildren, Derrick Parker, Lakesha Wright and Chauncey Holley; and her great grandchildren, NaDearia, Essence, Kenzie and Eric. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Community of Hope Funeral Service (357 Hobbsville Rd, Hobbsville, NC 27946). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Beaver Hill Cemetery (420 Doctor M. L. K. Jr Ave, Edenton, NC 27932).
