We announce the death of Kathryn Carol Cuthrell of Edenton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 22, 2026, at the age of 76. Kathryn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Kathryn will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Kathryn will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Kathryn’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Cuthrell and Ruth McDaniel Cuthrell; and her siblings, Gene Cuthrell and Diane Cuthrell Lewis. She is survived by: her siblings, Arita Cuthrell of Edenton and John Cuthrell (Fran) of Edenton; her nieces, Kathryn Hammond of Belmont and Caroline Brown of Edenton; and her brother-in-law Van Lewis of Farmville.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery.
