He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Mark Harrell and Annie Mary Nixon Harrell; and his wife Mary Russell Harrell. He is survived by: his sons, Charles Roland Harrell of Edenton and Mark DeWitt Harrell (Vickie) of Enid, OK; his brother Roland Gene Harrell (Esther) of Suffolk, VA; his grandsons, Joshua Harrell (Rachel) of Spangdahlem, AB, Christopher Harrell (Keiley) of Yokota, AB, Matthew Harrell of Broomfield, CO and Fletcher Harrell of Richmond, VA; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Makayla, Madison, Gemma and Conner Harrell.
The family asks that flowers be omitted and contributions to his legacy be made to Food Bank of the Albemarle, 109 Tidewater Way, Elizabeth City, NC 27909, Union Mission Ministries, 5100 E.
