It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Joseph Sclafani of Edenton, North Carolina, who passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Sclafani and Regina Loehr Sclafani; and his brother Larry Sclafani. He is survived by: his wife Christine Mitsopoulos Sclafani; his children, Laura Scarlata (Robert), Andrew Sclafani (Jeanine) and Matthew Sclafani (Danielle); his grandchildren, Robert Scarlata, Julia Scarlata, Amy Sclafani, Mark Sclafani, Claire Sclafani, Julianna Sclafani, Joey Sclafani and Nathan Sclafani; his great grandchild Valerie Scarlata; and his sister Joan Yanky.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ann Catholic Church (207 N Broad St, Edenton, NC 27932). Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
