It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrna Marlene Weiske Shafer (Edenton, North Carolina), born in Burt, Iowa, who passed away on September 10, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Richard and Helen Marie Ollum Weiske; and her siblings, Luella Bauer, Velma Lavernz, Judy Stecker, Richard, Harold, Herb and Dale.

She is survived by: her significant other Harold Lawrence Shafer (Shaf); her children, Shelley Haffner (Rob) of State College, PA, Kevin Shafer (Lori) of Travelers Rest, SC, Joel Shafer (Mindy) of South Hill, VA and Tim Shafer (Tammy) of Windsor; her grandchildren, Ryan, Eric Haffner, Megan Haffner Ladd, Dylan, Sean Shafer, Chantel Shafer Buck and Brett Moran; and her great grandchildren, Cora, Garrett Haffner, Ben, Aria and Arabella Buck.
