Mrs. Signett was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on August 10, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Archie Guerdin Parrin and Elizabeth Catherine Wheeler Parrin. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Oliver "Hank" Signett; and by her son, James "Jimmy" Signett.

Employed for many years as a chef, since moving to Edenton she had become an active member of the community. A faithful member of St. Ann Catholic Church she had served as Vice President of the Women's Guild, as a Eucharistic Minister, and on the Hospitality Committee. Other enjoyments included her membership in the American Legion Auxiliary, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, and The Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Surviving are several nieces, nephews, and extended members of both the Parrin and Signett families.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, January 26th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann Catholic Church and will be conducted by Father Jairo A. Maldonado-Pacheco. The burial will follow in the church memorial garden. Friends may visit with the family in the Parish Hall immediately following the service.
