She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Gaston White and Bertha Miller White; and her husband Robert Wayne "Bob" Ellis. She is survived by: her siblings, Kay Bunch (Earl), Sunny Saunders and Randy White (Joyce); her cousin Janice Pratt (Joe); and her nieces and nephews, Lisa Shaw, Missie Bunch, Johnny Perry, Sheila May, Mark Saunders, Brett Saunders, Will White, Kate Nelson, Megan Jones and Pam Leary.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home Chapel (735 Virginia Rd, Edenton, NC 27932). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the PKD Foundation for the research of polycystic kidney disease at pkdcure.org.
