He was predeceased by: his parents, G. C. Ronald and Mabel Germain (Vincent); his sister Carol Hill (Rudy); and his nephew Nathan Schroeder. He is survived by: his wife Janice (Wilson); his children, Debbie Dotson (Steve), Cindy Germain and Rob Germain; his grandchildren, Matt (Megan), Will, Kat and Bridgette Dotson; and his brother Ronald Germain (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to the Edenton Lions Club or The BrightFocus Foundation Macular Degeneration Research Program.
