We announce the death of Vernon Franklin Lee (Edenton, North Carolina), who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 89. Vernon will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Haste Lee and Ellen Earl Speller Lee. He is survived by: his wife Janie Louise Leggett Lee; his daughters, Vicky Lee Hoggard (Mike) of Merry Hill, Ellen Lee Bunch (Ben) of Merry Hill and Janet Lee Copeland (Tom) of Merry Hill; his grandchildren, Michelle (Rodney), Stephanie (Brian), Lee (Laney), Wilson, Hank (Katlynn) and Catie; and his great grandchildren, Sarah, McKinley, Rosanna, Reid, Elijah, Taylor, Hunter and Carson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
