She was predeceased by: her husband Alexander Sykes; her parents, Eva Elmore and Henry Elmore; and her brother Gordon Elmore. She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda McCants (Larry) and Linda Poythress (Randall); and her siblings, Jimmy Elmore, Carolyn Mize and Joan Cecil. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
