He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric Barnes and Bettie Heath Barnes; and his sisters, Bertha A. Williams and Jeanette Barnes Clifton. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jones Barnes; his son Glenn Barnes of Elizabeth City, NC; and his nieces, Betty "JoAnn" Jennings of Virginia Beach, VA and Rachel Elaine Williams of Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
