He is survived by: his wife Velma Evans Gray; his children, Angela Gray Kirkman (Jacob) of Seattle and Jenean Gray Abolins (Airis) of Raleigh; and his siblings, Marie Gray, Martha Pierce, Charles Gray and Janet Lemly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Twiford Funeral Homes (405 E Church St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
