We announce the death of Jason Keith Pendleton of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 54. Jason will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father John Keith Pendleton; his sister Michelle Pendleton Sawyer; and his grandparents, Caleb, Evelyn Hooker, Kenneth and Irene Pendleton.
He is survived by: his mother Kay Hooker Pendleton; his wife Melissa Weeks Pendleton; his sons, Justin Keith Pendleton (Taylor Green Pendleton) of Elizabeth City, NC and Matthew Hayden Pendleton (Lauren Winslow Pendleton) of Elizabeth City, NC; his grandchildren, Jaxon Keith Pendleton and Hayden David Pendleton; his parents-in-law, Warren and Linda Weeks; and his caregiver Angela Wilson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Twiford Memorial Chapel (405 E Church St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Corinth Baptist Church (1035 Hwy 17, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
