She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Brooks and Viola Basnight Brooks; her spouse Celius Sampson Williams; her siblings, Carlton Brooks and Della Jernigan; her sons, Celius Williams, Jr. (Marilyn) and Douglas Williams; and her granddaughter Tashonda Nashe'Harney.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Brooks Whidbee (Arlandous) of Elizabeth City, Robin Harney (Ben) of Elizabeth City, Lisa Williams of Elizabeth City, Patricia Williams (Antonio) and Mark Williams (Elinor); and her sister Lennie Riddick. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
