She was predeceased by : her parents, Miles Schoals and Dorothy Schoals (Turner); and her husband Ronald D. Lyon. She is survived by : her children, Timothy Lyon, Annette Bergquist (Keith) and Christopher Lyon; and her grandchildren, Tyler Bergquist (Allison), Jessie Bergquist (Liam Gallagher), Zachary Bergquist, Sydney Ireland (Logan) and Keenan Lyon.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Michigan Heart Association or to the United States Honor Network.
