He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy MacMillan Butler and Dera Mae Williams Butler; and his brothers, Roy Mac Butler and James "Jimmy" Butler. He is survived by: his wife Susan B. Butler; his son David Allen Butler II (Courtney); and his grandson Jainus Butler.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home & Cremation Services (3131 M. L. K. Dr, Elizabethtown, NC 28337). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Clarkton City Cemetery.
