He is survived by: his wife Dora Tate; his son Bryan; his daughter-in-law Tracy Tate; his grandchildren, Lauren Nogle, Tate Taylor, Jay Taylor, Shuford "Ford" Tate, Trevor Tate and Kimball Tate; his sister Martha Carroll; his friend Lyndia Avant; and his pet Jack. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
