He was predeceased by: his parents, Normen Daye and Barbara Ann Johnson; and his brother Donny Daye. He is survived by: his daughter Lakenya Daye-Rhone (Carlos Rhone) of Raeford; his grandchildren, Kariba Burgess (Derric Burgess) of Hawaii, JayVon Pippen (Brianna Pippen) of Georgia and JaMarkis Leavell (Kendra Leavell) of Florida; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Blake, Myla, Emani, JayLani and Carter; and his siblings, Kim Daye Sr. of North Carolina, James Stewart Sr. (Eulene Stewart) of Florida, Alvin Daye of Ohio, Linda Uitenham of North Carolina, Jayne Gonzales (Fredrick Gonzales) of Ohio and Norma Jean Fears (Michael Fears). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
