He was predeceased by: his grandmother Rachel; his parents, H. Manly Clark and Mary Robertson Clark of Rowland, NC; his brothers, H. Manly Clark Jr. and Rogers H. Clark; and his former wife Dottie Matthews Clark.
He is survived by: his grandson Matthew Woodard; his wife Rachel Peterson Clark; his brother David K. Clark; his children, Giles R. "Bob" Clark Jr. (Robyn), Martin Matthews Clark (Julia) and Catherine Clark Woodard (David); his grandchildren, Lindsay Olivia Woodard and Matthew Clark Woodard; and his stepson Walter Payne Keziah III. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
