It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mack Denkins in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Kay Brown Denkins; his children, Styvette Denkins (William Blanks), Shereka Ray (Travis), Antonia Denkins (Michael Watlington) and Natekka Ferguson (Andre); his grandchildren, Destiny Moore (Jeffery), Aniyah McKenzie, Ayrian Ray, Jaelan Herring, Jordan Ferguson and Noah Ferguson; his great grandchild Serenity McKenzie; and his siblings, Leo Denkins (Helen), David Earl Denkins (Judy), Eunice Pridgen, Gracie Sowers and Vera Moreland (Lawrence). He is also survived by family, he is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dunn Funeral Home Chapel (810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church (1320 Natmore Rd, Kelly, NC 28448).
