She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William "B. J." Schoonmaker; her daughter Amelia Levar Schoonmaker; her parents, Lourie Levar of Dunn and Timothy Taylor; her stepmother Sandra of Ingold; her stepbrothers, Kenneth, Kevin and Zachary McMillan; and her grandparents, Ernie and Lou Neal Taylor.
