Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Shelby leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis E. Bailey and Vivian Owens Edwards. She is survived by: her husband Walter Hicks; her son Robert Farrow (Tina) of Pender County; her grandchildren, Shelby Greene and Hunter Farrow; and her siblings, Johnny Edwards (Chris) and Wanda Bailey (Tom Walker). She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
