He is survived by: his friend Vera Melvin; his sons, Zion Rogers of Fayetteville, NC and Egypt Melvin of Elizabethtown, NC; his parents, Crystal Melvin of Fayetteville, NC and Benjamin Ballard of Elizabethtown, NC; his godmother Germaine Hines of Elizabethtown, NC; his grandfather James McDowell of Elizabethtown, NC; and his siblings, Chimere Blanks, Kieaja Ballard (Dominick Cashwell), Saquawn Baldwin (Robin) and Ludarius Ballard.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson's Funeral Service (207 S Pine St, Elizabethtown, NC 28337). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church (4047 NC-242, Elizabethtown, NC 28337).
