He was predeceased by : his parents, Johnnie Richard Cooper and Betty Jean Smith Cooper; his siblings, Paul Cooper, Harrison Lowery and Phyllis Cooper; and his grandson Dion Graham.

He is survived by : his wife Heidi Cooper; his children, Jessica Mayes, Jason Cooper, Corbin Cooper and Robert Cooper; and his pet Pumpkin. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
