With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William David Billups (Elizabethtown, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2025 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his wife Delilah R. Billups; and his father William E. Billups. He is survived by: his daughters, Hilliary Causey of Jacksonville, NC and Caroline Coats; his son-in-law Braxton of Pawley's Island, SC.; his mother Ida Mae Suggs of Elizabethtown, NC; his siblings, Barbara Jackson of Elizabethtown, NC, Kay Merritt (Perry) of White Lake, NC, Karen Billups of Elizabethtown, NC., Larry Billups (Celia) of Elizabethtown, NC and Barry Billups (Vickie) of Elizabethtown, NC.; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Causey, Cooper Causey and Gabriel Coats. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Briar Branch Baptist Church (42 Lula Long Rd, Elizabethtown, NC 28337). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Briar Branch Baptist Church Cemetery (42 Lula Long Rd, Elizabethtown, NC 28337).
